A Labour councillor is encouraging military families to respond to a new survey about accommodation and housing.

Commenting, Councillor Ben Williams (Labour, Fochabers Lhanbryde) said:

“Having grown up in a military family, I know that there can sometimes be frustrations with military accommodation. This survey allows serving personnel, veterans, and Forces families to have their say, so that we can ensure that there is a better quality of accommodation for those in the military. The presence of RAF Lossiemouth and Kinloss Barracks here in Moray means that the military plays an integral role in our community, so it is only right that their voice is heard.”

The survey, which is part of Labour’s ‘Homes Fit for Heroes’ campaign, aims to highlight the conditions in military accommodation, and all information will be handled confidentially.
