Sandy Keith is the Labour Councillor for Elgin City North. Sandy was first elected to represent Bishopmill on the Moray Council in 1996, and was re-elected in 1999 and 2003, before standing down in 2007. After growing frustrated with the poor quality of representation in the north of Elgin, Sandy decided to seek to return to the Council in 2021. In May 2022, Sandy was re-elected to the Moray Council, representing the Elgin City North Ward.

From 1999 to 2002, Sandy was Convenor of Education for Moray. During this time, schools in Moray were completely transformed. The school estate was renovated after decades of neglect, while investment in teachers and facilities drove up attainment in Moray’s schools.

Sandy has always been reputed as a hard-working local representative. Should any constituents have any issues or concerns they should feel free to get in touch with Sandy in confidence.
